Think, Dream and Reflect.

I am a thinker.

I constantly have thoughts running through my head, from the minute I wake until right before I eventually fall asleep. I think about what people are thinking, how they are feeling and if they’re ok.

As a result of this the thing that makes me the happiest is other people’s happiness, satisfaction and excitement about absolutely anything. I have my career to thank for the opportunity to experience this each and every day!

Every single day I am lucky enough to meet humans of all different natures. What I love is noticing their changes each visit in not just their skin but in their personality and, most importantly for me, confidence. It is amazing how having healthy skin can change your whole attitude towards life. Having problematic skin can really bring people down and have experienced this first hand with numerous clients choking back tears whilst telling me their skin story. We all know how we feel when a little spot pops up on your face right in time for a big event and would hate to imagine this feeling each and every day…

As a constant thinker, I constantly think how it would feel to have those breakouts constantly and know how much it would stress me out, bring me down and perhaps make me less social which, in turn, would stress me out, bring me down and make me less social which would then add to more breakouts from being so stressed about all those things! It is a vicious cycle.

The health and beauty industry is continually growing and we are so lucky to be surrounded by so many motivating, influential and inspiring people every single day. However this can also be intimidating and confusing. When I say confusing I mean who do I believe? Which products really do work? Will that healthy habit help me? Will that exercise routine make me healthier? It is overwhelming.

My advice: BE YOURSELF.

Easier said than done, I know, but try. Try really hard. Do what works best for you. Listen to your body. Don’t be hard on yourself…unless you know you aren’t even trying. Those who incorporate exercise into their routines know how it makes you feel right? Motivated. Happy. Excited about life. Confident. Just to name a few. A simple skincare routine at night and, again, those same feelings come back. You get rest. Same feelings.

I can’t even explain how lucky I feel to be able to wake up and look after myself every single day. My thinking patterns work like this. I can wake up and exercise, I can look after myself, I can eat healthy, I can sleep easily when a lot of people out there physically can’t. I mentioned in my first blog that we all take for granted the ability to do what we want whenever we want yet a lot of people make bad choices and don’t take their health seriously.

Health is key in my life. If I can motivate people to respect their bodies and minds in the smallest way each day then I am happy. If I can make people feel better about themselves after 45 minutes then I am happy. Always think what if I didn’t have the ability to do what I wanted tomorrow? Always think what other people are going through. Always think about making someone’s day a little brighter and I guarantee you will feel the brightest!
